Being fed up with repeated rejection from the London Marathon ballot and being against the idea of charities having to pay so much for bonded places I decided to do something a little bit more adventurous instead and that would benefit my chosen good causes directly. I’m also asthmatic and at one time I could barely run to the end of the street without gasping for air but new advances in asthma medicine have changed my life so this is additionally a bid to show that with proper medication there’s no limit to what you can do!
So, as the name suggests, my goal is to run in a marathon every month throughout 2010, either in organised races or (properly measured) solo runs if I can’t get a suitable race entry for that month.
I’ll be updating the site as the weeks progress with details of the events I will be taking part in and my progress with training.

Finishing the Grand Union Canal Half Marathon
Hopefully I’ll be able to include a couple of the more well known events but a quick search has affirmed that pretty much throughout the whole year, if you want to do a marathon there’s always one going on somewhere!
As well as this blog I’m also regularly posting my thoughts and activities to Twitter so click the logo below if you want to follow me.
Other than that, thanks for visiting and feel free to comment on any of my posts – especially if you have any help or advice!
