Did my usual short recovery run yesterday after the weekend’s 20-miler thinking "yayy, the snow is clearing – should be fine for tempo running later in the week" and then woke up this morning to a new blanket of snow – great!
Oh well, looks like another treadmill session tonight then. I have managed to find some foot-mounted snow chains from Canada so I’m going to order a pair. The UK distributor is out of stock at the moment though (quel surprise) so I might get them after this has cleared but you never know! If you are interested they are from a company called YakTrax and they do a normal version for walkers and a "Pro" version for runners so I’m going to give them a try.
My only concern now is that if these conditions persist it might affect my first marathon but I’m keeping my fingers well and truly crossed…
