Went out for my recovery run this afternoon, only 2 miles as my guide suggests but I feel 100% better as a result now that I’ve shifted all the gunge that must have accumulated in the muscles over the last 24 hours after my long run on Sunday. There’s hardly a trace of stiffness in my quads now so I’m looking forward to getting a quality speedwork session in before the next long (20 mile) training run this coming weekend. That will actually be the last of my long training runs before the first full marathon at the end of the month – all seems very close now!
